Tonight i am making baked potatoes flavored by use of an Italian herbs mix made from garlic, coriander, paprika, oregano, sesame seed, marjoram and baked in olive oil. I call it Italian fries.
Great with Heinz ketchup or yogurt based mayo.

Nice, I make "Dave Fries" similar to that:

1. Cut a small red potato in half length-wise
2. Chop into flat wedges
3. Toss with olive oil in a bowl
4. Mix in garlic powder, onion powder, Kosher salt, dried parsley, and dried basil
5. Bake at 400F for 25 minutes, flip & bake for another 25 minutes until they start getting brown on each side

They are the bomb. Only downside is they stick to the pan really bad. I've tried spray, parchment paper, everything.

What kind of pan do you use ?
I use a tefal pan with a teflon coating. Nothing sticks to it as long as i use wooden or plastic spatulas to prevent damage to the coating.

Great with Heinz ketchup or yogurt based mayo.

I've been making a lot of homemade mayo lately using an immersion blender (never got it to work until I got the stick blender) - one of the variations I've been making is fry sauce, which is something I discovered at fast food joints when I was traveling out west. At the core, it's basically ketchup mixed with mayo (usually a pinkish or orangy color), or sometimes mixed with Thousand Island dressing. It's actually pretty dang good. Some people do it with vinegar or blend in some pickles or whatever:

Awesome with the red potato fries!

The fry sauce sounds nice. When i was little , my mother use to make something similar. Ketchup mixed with mayonnaise and fine sliced white onions mixed through it. Great with meatballs.

We started some pulled pork this morning with a shoulder piece we rubbed yesterday. We made a quick melange this morning with a strong beer (La Fin du Monde), apple juice, apple slices, garlic, red onions, chili sauce, soy sauce and other fun things like that.

Smelled like heaven when I got home for lunch earlier.

Like a Teflon baking sheet?

http://www.amazon.com/ProBake-Teflon...dp/B0017WICZ0/

Hmm, never used one. I guess it wouldn't be a big deal - iirc, Teflon doesn't release toxic gasses until over 450F.

Tefal has these pans with a red spot at the center that changes color to show you when the pan is at temperature. I have with a handle that swivels to the side with locked poistions(after use) as well. Takes very little space.
I have an old model, i have not found a picture of it but this one is similar.

I also make Burger Sauce - that stuff is amazing!

Same idea as fry sauce, but using a clove of garlic & a sweet pickle.

With garlic. Garlic sauce i find also easy to make.
A few garlic pieces, add two spoons of yogurt based mayonnaise, a teaspoon of sugar and a half a glass of milk. stir and mix it round and fine fresh garlic sauce that is not too fat. Then add some parsley to reduce the smell of the garlic. I noticed the parsley reduces the smell afterwards but still gives a great garlic flavor to the sauce.

Nice trick, I'll try that, thanks! Does it matter if it's fresh or dried?

Tandoori chicken. Supposedly made to order. We've been getting take-outs from a nearby Indian restaurant that I noticed doesn't do buffet, and I finally got curious enough to ask if their tandoori chicken is made to order and was told yes. I'm going to find out if it's actually not as dry as every piece of tandoori chicken I've gotten out of Indian buffets tonight!

going out for middle eastern food with friends after work.

not sure what I'm going to have... not really in the mood for it, so I'll probably have something simple like cheese arrayes or kibbeh balls.

I have some tofu I need to use. I'm thinking about frying it with jalapeño, onion, and ??? The rest I'm having trouble with. Maybe baby carrots. I have a bunch of those also.

Edit:
Apparently I left the carrots at my mother's house. Instead of succumbing to indecision and having cereal, I made tofu, jalapeño, and onion. Fried them with soy sauce, and hot sauce, then a bit of salt. Not bad. Hard to get excited over tofu, but it was acceptable.

The entries here seem a bit unbalanced :'(
Large salad with hemp oil, Sunshine burger (vegan), parsnips with garlic bread. Homemade gingerbread muffin. I don't know about you people ... I always cook so I have leftovers and don't have to bother cooking the next day.

I had a double dose of pie...

Pizza Pie followed by apple pie.

(I'll probably gain another fucking 5 pounds from that...but it was good.)
