Hi all,

I'm a writer looking to get a few people's opinions specifically about their AT&T 4G LTE experience for an article--good or bad. Is anyone willing to message/email/chat/talk? If so I'd much appreciate it.
Please contact me ASAP via private message. Shouldn't take more than a couple minutes.

Thanks in advance for the help

I've had a great experience on Verizon's LTE network. I couldn't even tell you where AT&T has LTE coverage though...

Some of you guys seriously didn't know that AT&T had started rolling out LTE last year?

how bad is LTE in NYC? ive been thinking about switching to VZW from AT&T
Well, my job supplied phone is a droid razr and my personal phone is a tmobile sgs2. My sgs2 is at the very least 50% faster than the razr on 4glte. Most of the time it is 100% faster. the fastest I ever hit on speednet on the razr was 11mbps, on my tmo sgs2 I hit 20+mbps all the time. I think lte is saturated in nyc.

How's the latency on LTE though? ~10Mbps isn't too bad for latency-reliant services if the latency is good enough. It would be pretty sweet if I could use Splashtop over a mobile connection and it was close to a wired connection's response time.

So is anyone at all interested in chiming in with their personal experiences?

Sure! Where I live and where I travel to, I feel lucky to get 3G. Most of the time it is 1XRTT. Just got a new Android with Verizon service, and we're luck to even get 1 bar of signal strength. 4G LTE? In my dreams!

And I tried AT&T - couldn't even connect to the Internet. Lower signal strength than Verizon.

whoa dagamer, is that your screenshot, or one someone else posted? If so, any chance I can hit you up for a quote? Sorry to keep pushing so hard on this, but for whatever reason no one seems to want to talk!

I like how 11mbps is now horrible.
Horrible is ATT's network data not even working at all.

Yeah, it's mine, but I returned the phone already. I should state that that was a max, not an average.

If you actually comprehended what I wrote you would see that I stated 11mps on the razr on lte was the HIGHEST it ever hit. It averages around 3-5 mbps, which is mediocre 3g speed imo.

I've been really happy with AT&T's LTE service...though speeds vary pretty wildly depending on where I am. I usually average 10-12mbps down around town, 25mbps on campus (Texas A&M), as much as 40-50mbps when I'm in Houston or Austin with full signal. Upload is usually around 10mbps in College Station, 20mbps in Houston/Austin.

Considering I was lucky to consistently hit 1mbps here with T-Mobile before, I'm pretty pleased.

It's been great when I've been in cities with coverage (New Orleans, Chicago, DC). Damn fast, great to tether my computer with...just eats up battery life but I expected that.
