I think its healthy to never grow up completely. I mean, Ive been at a pretty stable level of development for the past, oh....decade. Im 22, still play with toys (probably always will) still LOVE cartoons, joke around with everyone, play music, all sorts of stuff. Ive been told to grow up, but what does growing up mean? Getting a job(which Im trying to do anyway, the comic shop isnt working out...and lets face it, working in a comic shop isnt much of a job now is it?), getting grey hair, having children to give me that grey hair, loosing energy (while I never had tons of it to begin with..Im rather overweight, a problem Im working on repairing currently by working out and changing my diet. Both things that are NOT easy to start) and becoming a zombie, work, sleep, work, sleep, work, sleep YEAH, THATS WHAT I WANT!

Fsck no. I dont wanna grow up, Im a toys-r-us kid.

<< Peoples tastes change as they grow older. I don't like playing with Star Wars toys any longer. >>

I don't want to even ask for clarification!!!!!!!!!!:Q

<< <<Why are others my own age so stogie?>>
This is the real question here.

I presume this is based on your personal experience with people your age and older whom you come into contact with? I ask because I'm 35 and surf, mountain bike, do Martial Arts and socialize with many people in their late 30's to mid 60's who are youthful, energetic, and fun lovin' yet "take care of business' as well.
What I'm getting at is this; I live within a few hours of you here in Florida and ThereARE a lot of crones who have sticks up their a$$es here no doubt! I mean after all this IS where the wrinklies come to die(and play a little golf 😉 ) but there are also many like whom I speak of who are inspirations to me(you sound a lot like them 🙂 ) who provide me with examples of what my years ahead can hold for me IF I don't allow life to beat me down. To conclude, in my experience, people like you are special but there are more like you than you realize 😉

when i'm old, i'm going to grow a long beard (i'm chinese) so i look like confucius. then i'll sit around all day, stroking it and speaking random words that sound like riddles. then everybody will think i'm wise 😛

Or an Opiate user 😉

I guess I'm pretty beige now, but I don't think there is anything wrong with you.

Maybe I was a little too party hardy in my younger years. I still enjoy going to see a good band at a concert, the only problem is good bands are hard to find. I've been known to frequent blues bars now that most rock is junk. Learned to ride a motorcycle two years ago. Love Unreal and Serious Sam.

However, I had my wife tell me today that I had sent my geek meter off the scale when she saw me chopping onions and wearing saftey glasses to keep from crying. 😱
