What is wrong w/the Blazers?

Something is seriously wrong with those guys, I mean did you see Dale Davis kick/nudge Rick Fox in the head when the re's weren't looking yesterday? What a total jerk... And the time he got ejected for kicking the ball, he acted like he was gonna backhand slap that guy in the audience.

Let's see, Scottie Pippen used to be a respectable player back in the Chicago days but now he's a little biatch that chokes in the playoffs, Rasheed is no doubt extremely talented but is a whining baby that has more T's than anyone else, Bonzi Wells is good too but I think he's like 3rd? in T's, Damon Stoudamire, Steve Kerr, and Derek Anderson are the only guys I respect on that team but Anderson has got to be the most injury prone player I've seen, Shawn Kemp used to be one of the best big men in the league BEFORE he gained 100 lbs, and of course Ruben Patterson, the biggest mouth on the team will never be an all star, probably will never be a starter, thinks he's the Kobe stopper. The past 3 years, Portland arguably had the best team on paper, in terms of individual player stats.

After watching Portland blow get swept again, I have to say the Lakers OWN Portland. Flame on!

They have a lot of talent, but it's middling talent. They don't have superstar talent or a go-to-guy; if anything they need to ship a couple of guys out and bring back a superstar.

Maybe swap Rasheed Wallace and Damon Stoudamire for Kevin Garnett if KG gets put on the block as has been rumored.

Yep. If those clowns could control their tempers and keep their mouths shut they'd be unstoppable. IMO of course.

I actually have to agree with you... Portland has no class... I used to respect Pippen too, but now he is just getting worse and worse...

Pippen had the hat trick of screw ups in the last minute or so. He missed the free throw that would have given em (3 or 4 point lead I think?) He left his man Horry wide open in the corner for 3 and then had the last second in bounds pass stolen

Scottie Pippen is the biggest problem. He sucks. Period. 8 or 9 out of 10 times he's on the floor and he tries to do something, he screws up. He missed a wide-open, uncontested dunk, costing his team 2 points, if he wasn't such an idiot his team would have a sure 2 points and they would've won by 1. And that last inbounds pass is indicative of how stupid he is. Another problem is the Blazers can't keep their emotions in check. They lose their cool far too often which cost them games which they could win if they only kept their composure. All these things means that they will continue to be dominated by the Lakers and the other top teams in the West. If they want any chance at all for next season, do themselves a favor and give Pippen the boot, and maybe Patterson also.

Well you couldnt just blame Pippen for missing the 2 points... in yesterday game the Blazers missed A LOT of open shots... not just Pippen...

But yeah, he did miss the last inbound pass though, which cost them the game...

As a long-time Blazer "fan," I can tell you that I hate the current team. They are a disgrace. Along with the drug dealer and the rapist, the team consists of arrogant punks who care more about their inflated paychecks than winning. None of them sign autographs or even acknowledge their fans. In a way, there are among the worst examples of the new NBA (which really doesn't need any more such examples).
I hate the Lakers (and always have) but I called this sweep weeks ago (although it was obvious). The rapist talked far too much trash when the Blazers won that last regular-season game against the Lakers, and I knew that Shaq and Co. were going to make an example of them for the rest of the league to see.

I wouldn't say it was that last inbounds pass that cost them the game. It was his missing a free throw which could have given them a 3 point lead, and then completely missing his defensive assignment and letting Horry hit the winning 3 pointer. The bad inbounds pass (which was caused by Phil Jackson's EXCELLENT decision to have Shaq guard the inbounds), was just icing on the cake. It still would have take a damn good shot to win the game.

One big problem with Portland is their general manager "Trader" Bob. He is convinced the secret to winning is just putting a ton of talent on the floor. He completely disregards the chemistry aspect of being a true team. Whittsitt once said when asked about his team's screwed up chemistry, "I'm not a chemistry major; I'm a sports major."

Well, apparently you flunked both Bob, because it takes a good judge of talent, AND a good judge of personality (among other things) to put together a championship NBA team. All he did was assemble a mismatched bunch of talented players, but overlooked the fact that almost all of them had some kind of personality defect. You have Rasheed the talented headcase, Damon the drug dealer, Ruben the rapist (and with an unhealthy obsession with Kobe Bryant, I keep waiting for Ruben to go all Single White Female on Kobe), Scottie the weak minded guy trying to get out from under the shadow of a legend, Dale "oh no, not Shaq AGAIN" Davis, and Bonzi "screw the fans" Wells. Plus, even though there is a lot of talent on the team, there is no a bonafied superstar in the bunch.

Exactly.
The fans here in Portland hate Whitsitt. Last year, fans got kicked out the Rose Garden for having signs that said "Trade Whitsitt."
IMNSHO, all he has done is assemble another team like he did in Seattle. A bunch of highly-talented underacheivers who might actually win games if they got their sh!t together, but instead are too busy with their egos to actually try.

Let's not forget the glorious Chicago days. A couple ticks left on the clock. Coach tells Pippen he's screening so another guy can shoot the last shot. Pippen refuses and sits down the bench. Coach lets him sit down and plays out the last possession sans Pippen.

My buddy was drinking beers with Barkley a couple years ago during an NCAA tourney Auburn game hosted in the arena where I work. My buddy says to Barkley (there were about six people in the room having a couple beers since it's a dry campus), "What's up with your boy Pippen?" Obviously, this was while they were teamates. Barkley said it best, "He needs to quit whinning like a little b!tch!"

Phil Jackson also said it best about the Trailblazers. "We don't need to worry about them. The will implode on their own."

Whos next on the Laker's chopping block?

I think you might have hit the nail on the head. I believe Pippen is stupid. Not as in "he makes bad plays" stupid, but as in "can't spell his own name" stupid. He seemed to be fine when he had control freaks like Jackson and Jordan telling just WTF to do, but now he has top rely on his own smarts, so he is totally lost. It's funny, he was always regarded as the most under-rated player ever because he played next to Jordan. I am not a huge Jordan fan, but we see now just how good he is on his own.

I agree Pippen is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. All he knows is Basketball and he isn't a master of that either. Too bad about Portland.
