Americans can solve global warming problems by getting together with the EU and stopping the import of goods from Asia. Eventually, without our monies going there, all of those manufacturing facilities spewing loads of pollution into the air will crumble.

Smack dab in the middle of the Great Lakes here, and eerily warm. No snow is one thing, but this is just flat out strange. It's going to be 10C today

my point is that it rarely snows more than a few inches in Anchorage if the temperature is in single-digits. That qualifies at as weird weather in my book. Usually the days when we get 2-3 feet, the temp is closer to 30, not 7 or 8.

I don't think he was asking for your point, but the OP's.

Its not global warming its just a mild winter. We have had them before. I don't think NJ is breaking any reocrds.

P.S. I am not saying Global Warming doesn't exist, Just that the mild winter is not a result of it...yet.

I'm not complaining. I hope the whole winter is like this here in NH...a set of snows and rims for the new car is about $1k...I'd love another year to save that up... :)

Umm, I agree with you it's a mild winter, but why does that figure call for a /thread?

That's the warmest December in at least the past 100 years IIRC.

Yeah its warmer then usual but you cannot blame global warming.

Ok yeah there is global warming....a lot of scientists are in disagreement about the extent of it. That being said there is no way that this one winter is this warm because of it. Most experts say that the averge temp has risen about 1F.....not 10 or 20.

I just watched that Inconvenient Truth thing a couple days ago. Out of 900 or so scientific journal articles, 0 of them disagreed with global warming as a real and measurable occurence.

Out of the same number of media articles, I think the % that disputed global warming was around 50.

I'm skeptical because a politician is/was behind the documentary, but those were the numbers. I don't really have an opinion either way / not trying to incite debate but just discussing what I saw.

Yeah here in NC we've only had one hard freeze and have seen the upper 60's for a while now. I'm liking it.
