replacing spark plugs in my chevy 5.3cl v8 is a pain beacause the far back on on the left is in a odd position, but you can get it out if you have enough torque wrench extenstions =)

i just have to open the hood an reach in to change my lamps. the back ones are the same, just open the trunk. I just need about a 8 inch extension for the spark plugs on the rear of the engine. the fog lamps are a bit harder, you have to reach under the front bumper.

my dads Yukon is neat, you pull out these 2 pins and the whole headlight assembly slides out into your lap where you can do whatever you want with it, I think the envoy is the same way.

I was jealous when looking at my friend's GMC Sierra, it does this too.

My humble Focus is easy. I made the mistake or replacing the perfectly good factory Osram bulbs with the stupid Philips/Osram Siliverstars.
Don't ever get those, they are junk that only last about 3-6 months. Google them before you buy them.

However, the sealed beam versions are nice.

On my Ford Contour you didn't even need tools. Just reach in there, pull the harness off the back of the bulb, twist it to release the locking mechanism and pull the bulb out. Installation was the reverse of the removal. So easy. I haven't looked at the Goat's headlights yet, but I'm hoping they're just as easy.

For the love of god DO NOT install them. You will blind everyone driving down the road.

retro-fit hids suck for everyone on the road. don't install them they should be illegal , just like running with your fog lights on all the fucking time. cops should be able to pull you over if your lights are not adjusted properly also. do people even check this anymore?

2008 Accord Coupe here, and you have to go through the wheel well. I couldn't do it myself.

I'm curious how you did your Civic. I had to remove the front bumper on mine, not that that's hard but it sure was annoying.

:Q '03 Accord Coupe here and while the manual says to go through the wheel well (atleast on one side), I can manage to just change it just opening the hood.

I agree with you. I have a Mazda6 and the stock lamps are very weak. Fortunately the Mazda6 has another set of lamps that I turn on (4 lamps in total). I think this might be illegal but it doesn't hurt anyone.

If you do it right on the Mazda6 you won't blind everyone with your HID. The 6 has a projector lens, and there's a piece of metal reflector in each lens that you can remove that should greatly reduce glare. I've never have any issue with it. Of course don't go rice with those blue/purpose HID bulbs, stick with 43k.

and one of the recent episodes of fifth gear had something about this. They were comparing a VW Golf to some french car. changing the light bulb took 30 seconds on the golf and over over 30 mins on the french car.

IIRC, my friend was bitching about changing the bulbs on his 2008 Accord coupe also.

Oh, man, that's a real PITA for the once every 4-8 years you have to do it ;)
Of course, I've also only ever had to replace once headlight in my 10+ years of car ownership.
