this may be a dumb question but what is vsync? i mean i ahve heard people ask about turning it on to stop tearing and then i hav eheard people saying to turn it off to keep up visual quality.. what is the deal?
If you have vsync turned on, your video card sync your fps with your refresh rate. So if you have your refresh rate set to 100, you can only get a maximum of 100fps. If your video card can't keep up, it renders half of your refresh rate I believe. So just turn it off, it will not ruin the video quality.
