Almost. Supports s-video, composite and component outputs, component and s-video input.

For multimedia (Watching movies from comp to tv, tv to computer, cable on PC, gamecube on pc, etc...), Would ATI still be the way to go? or does nvidia dominate in that department now?

I don't even know if they make AIW cards out of their recent ones any more, I've not seen them in ages. Just get a decent card with VIVO from either manufacturer and you should be fine.

AIW is not VIVO if I remember correctly. AIW included a TV tuner as well where VIVO is just input (source only, no tuners included) and output

Anyone remember the old vivo video files we used to watch in the early days and in the BBS scene?

I just checked at ati.amd.com. Click on the ATI Products tab, choose Multimedia from the drop-down, and they will tell you about four current video card products. There's a Mainstream and an Enthiusiast level card each in AGP and PCIe interfaces. I bought the AllInWonder 2006 Edition card last fall for PCIe x16 bus. It has TV and FM Radio tuners built in as well as inputs and outputs for Composite Video and Stereo sound, S-Video, and Component Video. I'm not a gamer, but do plan on video editing. Will use IEEE 1394a (Firewire 400) for some of that, rather than Composite Video, 'cause I'm starting from a digital videocam.

I gave up on AIW and TV tuner cards. I had a few AIW and always upgrade my vid card and got tired giving up the AIW card. I switched to TV tuner cards and using VIVO but the quality, IMO, always sucked. Then I thought I never record anything anyway so why waste my PCs resources if I want to watch TV or play a game system on my monitor so I opted for an external TV Tuner box that connects to any monitor. I have all my game systems hooked up to it and the quality is much better than AIW, internal TV cards or VIVO.
