What is VIVO used for?

I have a Radeon 9000 video card with VIVO.
What are the uses for VIVO?
Can it be used to capture video from a VHS VCR, or cable TV input?
Can it be used to output video to a TV instead of a monitor?

This is all new to me, I need all the help that I can get.

VIVO = Video In Video Out

So, yes you can. Assuming you have the right plug in if it may be composite or S-Video...

Yes.
Capture video from VCRs, Camcorders etc and output to TV.

I'm not sure what sort of h/w ATI has for decoding though so it might be your CPU doing some heavy lifting.
