I like the new Chicken soft taco that is on the 89cent menu around here.

Baja Steak Chalupa is good as well.

7 layer burrito
Soft Taco
Tostada

Those are the only things I ever get when I eat there (which isn't very often).

Correct answer...Not a muthafuckin thing...

Taco Bell and "Very Good" don't belong in the same sentence, unless it's something like, "Taco Bell food is never very good."

SOME of their stuff is edible...and some isn't bad...but none is "Very Good."

Another food elitist. Taco Bell has some good greasy food.

TB is one of my favorite McDonald's level fast food places. Of course, eating there with any great frequency would be as unwise as it would be disappointing.

Since Tex Mex is more or less an endless re-combination of the same roster of ingredients, it doesn't all that much matter what you get, imho.

Yep. When you factor in the price, some of their food is extremely tasty. Very Good food? Not really. But greasy food after drinking, or just in the mood for greasy food, or cheap... it is some tasty and cheap fast food.

I stick by the Double Beef Cheesy Burrito. For 99c, or is it 89c... it's delicious and actually pretty substantial.

Although when it comes to tex-mex, TB doesn't quite fit the bill. Tex-mex has some more flavor, although when it comes to anything the taco bell sauces can be put into... my lord. The sauces at TB are amazing. I love using them on home-made tacos too.

Pintos and cheese..everything else at taco hell is just a derivative of this anyway..just grilled, fried or slapped together in an equally nasty shell.

Nah, not a food elitist...but my taste buds DO work...:D

It's crappy imitation Mexican fast food. It's not great...but it'll build a turd.

I actually like the Chalupas...however, they certainly don't qualify as "VERY GOOD."

Well agreed. For whatever reason, I LOVE their hot sauce packs. Whenever I go (haven't been in some time) I always make sure to grab a couple extra. I'll even go in rather the drive through just to do so.

I usually get the three taco supremes, hard shell. I got that combo recently, it was $6.58 total IIRC. Jeez. I remember getting that same combo all the time in high school for $4.04.

I also like the gorditas and chalupas. Steak supreme is my favorite, though chicken is good, and the baja style is good.

For a snack, I like the nacho bellgrande. Those little potatoes are good stuff too.

I wish a TB was closer to where I live.

I worked awhile an especially nice, upscale Taco Bell during one of my many jobs as an undergrad. That one was before the car wash, after file clerking in a vet admin hospital, etc. etc.

Staff at those kinds of places generally (as in, wide spread, routinely) get a laugh out of dumping flies & floor sweepings into the beans, taking a leak into the pickles, spitting & picking their nose into the ground meat, and more.

I hereby testify that I witnessed lots of that and lots more.

Don't eat at Taco Bell or similar places. Walk into the grocery store close to them and buy an apple instead.

Hmm, while I have no doubt that the occasional asshole might do such, I would highly doubt that was the norm. I worked at a taco hell for a little over 3 years, mainly out of one store, but I would get the "joy" of helping out at other locations on occasion... Now, any of the above mentioned would have been grounds for immediately firing the offender, and probably a good beating from the other employees, as anyone who has worked in fast food knows, you end up eating a lot of the food you prepare.

As to the original question, I always go for the cheesy gordita crunch, no lettuce with extra baja sauce, and while it may not be listed on the menu at your local taco bell, just ask for it as it is still programmed into the register and they do know how to make it.

The only thing I ever liked there was the Cheeserito. They dont have it anymore.
I do find the cheese roll up edible, but I can only get one of those a week and not be tired of it.

My dad loved the Bell Burger but that hasnt been seen in a long time either.

EDIT:
I grew up in Minnesota and could get one any time I wanted. According to some other web sites, many of the MN Taco Bells still serve them. I have no idea why the menus of a fast food joint would vary from state to state.
