What is up withthe new Antec NSK-6500?

:Q C-source.com offered the new Antec NSK-6500 for $100 with free shipping. Their web page indicated the product was not in stock and would be in/ or available for shipping in 1 - 3 days. That was six weeks ago.

I know now that the problem is that Antec hasn't shipped to vendors. Aside from my being a little mislead by c-source.com has Antec ever done this before? The case is on their web page - numerous vendors are advertising it and offering it for sale (well not the "big" boys like NewEgg, ZipZoomFly, Directron etc.) in the US and Canada with no product available. Australia seems to have it available to purchase and I think the UK and Europe. Any guesses why North America is being deprived?
 
Well, I think this C-Source website has just wrongly jumped the gun in offering it for sale - effectively, it's just a pre-order as I don't think they've been "officially" made available everywhere yet. I haven't seen it in any regular UK sites that I go to, for example, so maybe it's only being launched in other areas of the globe first....
 
i got on that deal about a month ago. i waited 4 days and cancelled it. glad i didn't bother waiting for it.

ended up getting the NSK-4400 from the egg. i actually preferred the 4400 cuz its smaller but i wanted the 430w PSU. the 380w seems to be working just fine tho.
 
Well, word from Antec USA is they expect the first "container" in Fremont, CA the week of 12 June. I'm in no way in a hurry for the case....system is now in an Antec P-160 and putting along happily. I want a slightly smaller case because the 160 is so tall it prevents my having the drawer over the PC space on my PC desk installed. The drawer has been sitting on the lower shelf of the stand for too long now. When the NSK-6500 finally does get here (probably close to the end of June) I'll have to find a buyer for the 160. Figure I'll sweeten the deal buy including the Seasonic S12 500 power supply and the ASUS DVD-rom drive and separate ASUS CD Burner.
