What is up with the uneven amounts of differant candy flavors in runts candies?

I just opened a small Halloween package of runts, no banana. Anyone else notice that you never get a good amount of the best runt flavors (banana and strawberry)?

Strawberry is good. I havent had runts in a long time, but I do remember always throwing the banana ones in the trash.

i hate that too. same with bags of starburst. my favorite is the cherry, followed by strawberry. the bag is always 3/4 lemon and orange and the other 1/4 is cherry and strawberry.

i guarrantee you it doesn't. the small packages that you get in the aisles at the grocery store might, but not the bags.

Banana is also one of my favoriet runts. I love the strawberry, cherry and banana. can't stand lime or orange, also those blue ones they started sticking in there aren't very good either.

And as far as starburst goes, there definitely isn't an even amount in there. can't say how many times i've gotten a pack with NO strawbery/cherry or just a couple. so sad

That's what happens when you buy in bulk. When you buy an alternator sized bag of starbursts, there is no way they can garuntee a proper variety.

when i said aisles i meant the where the cashiers are. thsoe bags in the aisles with the other candy is what i was talking about that sdon't have even amounts. i haven't bought bulk (like 10 lbs.) of starburst yet.

runts should have lemon instead of banana & grape instead of cherry.

I love runts, but I haven't liked them near as much since they changed the green ones and added the blue. Now, after about three green ones, I get sore places in my mouth. Not a lot of fun. I just don't like the taste of the blue.

Orange is the best.

When I was young, banana Runts were my favorite. But they always had very few banana Runts per container. Luckilly, no one else would eat them, so they'd give me their banana Runts and I'd be back near an even mixture.

20 years later, I really don't like banana Runts at all. Cherry Runts are the best. I'm happy banana Runts are rare.

My nearly 100% accurate rule for my candy and real fruit choices: the closer to pure red, the better the flavor. Thus, I'm in this order:
1) Cherry - pure red.
2) Strawberry - pale red.
3) Grape/blackberry/boisenberry/raspberry - red mixed with blue.
4) Orange - red mixed with yellow.
5) Lemon - no red, but yellow is near red on the rainbow.
6) Banana - no red, but better than the greens.
7) Lime - not very close to red.
...
Infinity, worst flavor ever) Apple - far from red on the rainbow.

The exception is that some blue candies can be good, but some are bad (far from red on the rainbow). So, blue doesn't really fit my rule well.

I haven't had runts in a long time, however, I absolutely hate the strawberry ones.

The Lime and Orange ones are the best, the Banana and Cherry are the next best.

There are no lime Runts anymore. Lime was replaced by watermelon (ugh) at the same time blue raspberry was added. I liked lime.
