What is up with "O.B.G.Y.N."?

Isn't it an abbreviation for "obstetrician-gynecologist"? Why isn't it "Ob-Gyn" and not "O.B.G.Y.N."?? Or do the B, Y, and N stand for something?

Err isn't the correct abbreviation "OB-GYN" ?

*edit*

Damn you and your lightning fingers, Amish! 😛

Yep, just checked and it's Ob-Gyn.

Do they really want to be thier work home with them...

You gotta think tho. They see women with diseases... etc... I wouldn't want to be around poon after seeing tainted ones all day long.
I'll definitely become a breast man instead.

I always thought is was OB-GYN

amish

Yes, but when people say it, they spell it out. They say O-B-G-Y-N.

Would you rather they say, "Dr. Smith, obbgein" ?

Yes. Or how about O.G.?

You spell out MD too. You don't say Dr. Smit, mud

amish

MD stands for Medicinae Doctor. OG would stand for Obstetrician Gynecologist. Is it that hard to see the difference between M.D. and Ob-Gyn?

Gynecologists don't get much ass. Their hands smell like fish tacos from touching cvnts all day. The ladies don't like that.

Yeah but most of the people on this forum have never seen it in person. They only know what they have read from their mom's Cosmo collection.
