what is up with newegg cpu prices?

they have their's going for 255 while monarch computer has it at 209. i notice that trend on all of newegg's skt 939 processors. both are retail. whats up with the huge price difference?

Amd 3200+ skt939 90Nm retail
zipzoomfly: $209
monarchcomputer: $216
excaliberpc: $210

newegg: $255??

Newegg obviously feels that they can maximize their profit that way. Maybe the processor is in short supply, so they're charging more to get more out of what they have?
 
I could be wrong, but I remember that AMD proposed a drop increase for a period of time, until the middle of December. At which time they indicated that they would increase the cost of their cpu's to their current status. The Inquirer is the one that had the story.
 
mwave.com. Retail box is 198. I stopped shopping newegg for awile now. Adding shipping on alomst every item now and more expensive? ha.

Started with them about 6 years ago...very good like newegg. Check ground shipping and they send fedex saver.
