Ever notice how when gas prices rises sharply and stay high for a time, people's complaints drop off. Then when the gas drops, people jump for joy at the cheap gas, even though it was higher than it was before?
IE. Gas is 2.00 USD per gallon, it rises to 3.50 per gallon and stays there for 3 months. Then, it drops to 2.50, and people rejoice at the cheap gas, despite it being higher than the original price? This seems to have been happening for years.

The main problem aside of that is the lack of refineries here.

well, when everyone stops buying gas, and we all boycot them together, then maybe they will bring the prices back down! From the way I understand it, really they only need to be charging us like 99 cents a gallon or less for gas, but because theyare so greedy the rest of that money per gallon goes in their pockets. Actually the way I understand it, everyone is scared about what is going to happen over the situation, so everyone is bying it up, and selling it to us for ridiculous prices, which ofcourse ultimatly benefits their pockts.

Yes actually, I've noticed exactly that. I was actually happy when it hit 2.11 around here then I was like 'wait...it was 1.25 when I started driving"
