I hear on the news they say that because of the sitation with Iran, that is the reason our gas prices are going through the roof, I think we should just take them out, all of them. They are just making life miserable for all of us, and bush is just getting all of our troops killed, and isnt even acomplishing anything. I just have the runs over the whole situation, what do you think?

Gas prices are up for a variety of reasons:
1.) Corporate shenanigans
2.) Idiots playing the futures market
3.) Iraq producing less oil
4.) Iran being retarded
5.) More corporate shenanigans

well it's a start? atleast it would be something better than what bush is doing for us, and our troops wouldnt be wandering around over there for no reason getting blown up.

;)

Plus, if you hypothetically did have Iran, you'd end up selling at market prices, or you're stupider than i think you are.

Like WA has 11ty billion tonnes of oil and gas, but we pay world market prices for them...

Also part of the reason for high prices is a weak dollar. Oil is traded in dollars, and weak dollar means countries hike up the prices of oil in dollars so they can get a reasonable amount of their own currency when they convert.

Ever notice how when gas prices rises sharply and stay high for a time, people's complaints drop off. Then when the gas drops, people jump for joy at the cheap gas, even though it was higher than it was before?

IE. Gas is 2.00 USD per gallon, it rises to 3.50 per gallon and stays there for 3 months. Then, it drops to 2.50, and people rejoice at the cheap gas, despite it being higher than the original price? This seems to have been happening for years.

Have you noticed that when it stays relatively low for a while, then jumps up suddenly, people freak out? Even though it's lower than it's been in the past?

Iran doesn't have any "gas" , they have very little refining capacity and import a lot of gasoline

What's up is the fact that people can buy and sell a product that they never touch. It's a load of horse crap that only makes the rich richer and everyone else poorer.

Hmm, Exxon keeps having record profits quarter after quarter, but we aren't being fleeced in anyway. I want Kerry in office because he doesn't care for high oil prices, he wants lower oil prices and higher ketchup prices.

His wife is a scrooge. Didn't give any Heinz ketchip with the lunches when she gave a talk at 50014. :(

Light the nuk-u-ler candle, and turn the entire Middle East into a permanently lit parking lot, with nothing sticking up above the glass except American-owned oil wells....

MAYBE that'd bring gas prices back down....

Ah, yes, because the only thing affected by higher gas prices is what you pump into your own car...

If anything, we should pay less attention to Iran. The more we freak out about them, the more volatile the oil market appears and prices go up. Of course, this makes Iran a ton of money. They just trying to scare us to raise oil prices, and we're dumb enough to give in.

My bicyclist hunting permit is coming in the mail today. I've got a 5 per day limit. Not too bad.

Really though, there's lots of oil in the Gulf of Mexico and everywhere around here. Everyone hates high gas prices, but if we open new wells or build refineries? They want them, just not near them.

We could own all the gas and oil in the world and I guarantee the prices would not go down.

The main problem aside of that is the lack of refineries here.

Either way they would spin it into the war effort was so expensive blah blah blah....

Gas is never going majorly down as long as people are willing to pay at the pump for what's being offered.
