Am I being harsh or have the post for the last few days been really sub-par?


examples:

1) John Carmack and Me //freak!
2) Hi I got a full ride to a good university and my last two qurters of highschool i got D's and F's //dumbass!
3) Why was i circumsized? // why the hell are you aking us?! ask your parents!
4) Do KFC Chickens have a soul? // dumbass!
5) Will netscape and IE work at the same time? // Welcome to the world of computing
6) HELP ME FIND MY WEBSITE! // OMG!!! OH NO! AIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! NOOOOOO!O!OO!O!!!!

im sure there are more, these are just off the top of my head.

LOL, now there's a mental image I didn't need. 😛
 
I'm just thinking ATOT isn't the same anymore. It still sucks the time out of you, but it doesn't provide as many laughs or joys. We have constant repeat threads of "hi, i'm up so check in" and stuff like that. We lost a lot of good members too. The Golden boys... Dannylove, and many more.

Even while we're losing good people, we're gaining bad people *cough cough* jerboy *cough cough*. No longer can i confidently stand up to my friends who are supporters of Hard Forums and Off-topic.net without thinking "will I win this time?" I remember the days when I would always have confidence when going into those arguments, but no longer...

I agree with you and Kelvrick. I¡¦m still spending a lot of time here but I¡¦m also spending more time at other forums than I used to. I think a lot of the problem is too much emphasis on post counts. The clutter of ++1 post count is disrupting threads. The people that post it aren't trying to contribute anything, they just want to get that one more count.

That also includes the ones that post 🙂 or LOL etc. as their entire post. Are they too lazy to come up with something worthy or a post or just too dumb? No, I wouldn¡¦t want to defend every post I make. That's not the point. It is the people that never make a post other than bump, LOL, "me too" etc. that I think are the problem.

I miss the days of good discussion and the nef threads. Sadly it seems like many of the good posters have left for some forum unknown where nefs and Aol chatters are burned at the stake.

Anyone know where they went?
