I saw a commercial on TV where they were advertising a pill to make women have only 4 periods a year. Now, admittedly birth control pills effectively stop periods altogether, but the way they advertised it was so disgusting. Like it was "cool", like it was something to do no different than buying a new handbag.

There was a thread about this that had a lot of the side effects mentioned.

Plastic surgery is something that irritates me when it's treated like that, birth control doesn't really bug me as much.

Disgusting in how brazen and careless it seems. The Pill is use as a hormonal regulation in manywomen, but this pill is being marketed for "convenience" sake, yet its effect is so incredibly drastic - manipulating hormonal levels in women has finally been shown (after much speculation) to increase breast cancer by like 40%.

I haven't seen that commercial yet, but I am getting tired of all the male enhancement ones.

Watching TV last night there was at least one of these everytime the show went to commercials.
