Saw it today while dealing with a squirrel problem. Seems to have made a nice nest under a pile of fallen branches.

I was thinking groundhog as well. But I normally see them bigger than that around here.

It might be young. They also get bigger towards the end of the season. Very rolly polly when it's almost time to hibernate :^)

My uncle was able to whistle(loud style, with his fingers), and all the groundhogs would stand up in the field. I've never been able to do that. I can't whistle with my fingers, and apparently it doesn't work with a coach style whistle.
