What is this stuff called and where can I get it ?

Yeah, basicly it's square shaped white conduit

Didn't know if it had a special name

All I saw in Lowe's and Home depot was gray round stuff

this might be a silly idea, but go back to home depot and ask the question there

...oh, and if I wasn't too clear, ask one of the employees

I asked them and they just showed me gray plastic tubing

like you would see under the rafters in a basement.

Thanks..

I believe that's it.

Do they not sell that in Lowe's, Home Deopt or some other B & M ?

If so, what section would it be in ?

I would imagine it would be in the electrical department. If not, then you'll have to get it from Milestek, Graybar, Black Box, or any other number of online stores.

I have purchased track very similar at Lowes. Might even be the same stuff. There were several styles and also had the kind that fastens with screws or via a tape stripe (warning: Tape strip will remove paint and more from a drywall surface. I know! :Q)

Isn't the electrician supposed to put the wires under the wall plaster?
Wires simply need protection from being cut , nicked, broken.
Conduit isn't very attractive and the plastic raceway systems are an alternative to this.

It's called wiremold. I use it when I have to add stuff as an afterthought. It's nice for adding a liteswitch for a new light that's suspended from a drop ceiling, or things of that nature.
The raceway is the base piece that screws to the wall. The cover snaps over it. There's a lot of sexy splicers and doodads to pretty it up.

You suck at looking then. They are located in the media aisle at Home Depot. Normally right next to the coax cable and pigtails.
