I can't remember, but I think it was in a movie, and I think it was referring to love/relationships. It went something like this:

"Love is like jumping off a cliff and hoping you can fly."

Does anyone know the exact wording and what it's from?

The quote doesn't show up much on the internet, but I'm nearly positive it's The Wedding Planner. I can't reproduce the search string I used to find it... and it wasn't exactly like what you said. "Jumping" was "leaping"...

Bingo, I think that's the one. I did enjoy that movie, desipite it being a bit of a chick flick.
