When you have a manner that is to repellent and are totally incompetent this is impossible because many or most of these will hate you too. You also might not live long enough to try.

What are you even talking about? The military largely supports Trump, easily. They will have no problem finding replacements for the complainers or those that resign.

It's not that simple. While overall the military skews more small c conservative overall and typically leans a little more R than the general population like any other voting bloc it responds to events and stuff they don't like.

It is not that easy. Ever had a manager everybody absolutely hated and that as a result got sabotaged until they quit in borderline madness? This but with the additional probability that your termination could be from our plain of existence.

- Ehhhhhh the idea that our military would kill our sec def because he gave a stupid ass speech feels like it's trading one hellish scenario for another.

That said, I figure a lot of these changes will be implemented in principal only.

-Now show us 2024...

I assume plurality support for Trump. But the way things are going now I'm not thinking that number has gone up in terms of support. Just taking issue with the idea that military voters aren't pressured by how they view events and simply vote like your average one stoplight town in rural Texas when it isn't really the case.

Implementing increasingly unpopular and cruel politics has real world implications.

What's weird is you've made this claim before, were shown it was wrong before, and apparently learned nothing.

You would think you would have been happy to learn that you were wrong about this. Why aren't you?

yeah I REALLY don't think this will be received the way they hope it will from career top military brass.

I can't even describe how disgusting this whole thing is.

Remember when the SecDef used unsecured channels and accidentally leaked secret attack plans that could have put American military personnel in danger? Imagine sitting in the audience having to listen to that fucking clown tell you how you should or shouldn't do your job.

It's embarrassing that the Secretary of Defense apparently does not understand how to fight wars.

This reminds me of all those videos North Korea would put out showcasing their soldiers like karate chopping boards in half and things like that - apparently blissfully unaware that this sort of shit is essentially useless in modern warfare.

Hegseth claiming decades of degradation in readiness is bizarre. By all accounts, the US is fielding the most capable military in its history.

Trump declares military occupation of American cities.
American military set to abandon the global stage and focus largely on putting down the American people.

Leading military chiefs have lashed out at Pete Hegseth’s plan to overhaul the country’s defense strategy, according to a report.
Multiple Pentagon leaders, including Gen. Dan Caine, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, have raised concerns about the proposals set out by the self-styled “Secretary of War.” The plans could be confirmed at an unprecedented meeting in Virginia on Tuesday to which former Fox News host Hegseth has summoned hundreds of generals and admirals, according to a report in The Washington Post..
The issue stems from Hegseth’s plans to rewrite the National Defense Strategy (NDS) to list homeland defense as the nation’s top priority—rather than continuing to focus on global security threats from China, as it has for years—and to reduce the U.S. military presence in Europe and Africa.

With their primary focus now turned INWARD to operate on American soil...
Perhaps the claim of "degradation in readiness" is in not meeting some new quota for the number of American citizens they need to kill... per week.

Come on, lead by example. Let’s have the orange monkey and Hegseth lead the fitness tests. Let’s see who survives longer, them or the fat generals

Is this going to be the largest "this could have been an email"-meeting ever?
For all the doom and gloom scenarios—this is the prediction that most pans out. For all of this Administration’s conservative media smarts, We wasted a shit ton of money on something that could’ve been an internal military “podcast.” These people just love burning taxpayer dollars.

I wasn't dooming about this and I was correct. What we saw was a completely out of his depth SecDef who fails to connect on any level with the forces under his command and a doddering elderly liar who thinks battleships are a good idea. They exposed their weakness instead of projecting strength.

For all the doom and gloom scenarios
The President directly told the military their job is now to occupy America and to kill Americans.
And you want to focus on Hegseth being a mockery, instead of the real issue?

I think it's likely the generals will work under the assumption that elections will continue and that there will be another president, and that they could potentially be held responsible for illegal acts should they occur under their leadership.
