I find it reassuring in all honesty. We already knew that they have the authority to nuke the planet, but (assuming the nicknames are true), I find it reassuring that the generals share an equally dim view of them as we do.

The GOP jettisoned the remaining shreds of their respectability when they stood behind Trump during his first admin. They crossed the line into domestic enemies when they refused to hold him accountable for his crimes against the country. They could have just done so, licked their wounds, and then inched their way back into respectability by way of proposing real policies. But it's easier (and more profitable in the short term) to collaborate and shit on everything that makes this country good.
