My machine is running WinXP and I'm connected to the internet via cable modem and a router. I run trillian and it says there's a new version available. So I click the button to go download it and it takes me to download.com. I click the download link and the window pops up saying "getting file information". A few seconds later I get an error saying "Internet Explorer was not able to open this internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later." So just to check I go and try to download some other random file from download.com and get the same error. I then proceed to visit other various websites to see if I can download anything. Guess what. I get the same error no matter where I try to download from or what I try to download. I haven't changed any settings or done anything different. Has anyone ever seen this before?
