They are getting into the utilities game where they toss random fee's on your bill and hope you ignore it while they rake in the bucks. ;)

Which one is this? I thought I was the last set of accounts to have a grandfathered account and that ended this month.

What's this?

We can have multiple streams going in the house at the same time. Are you talking about something else?

I think you're confused. Netflix has never been difficult to cancel.

Just log-in to Netflix.com and suspend your account. Simple as that.

You can even cancel while you still have credit from gift cards and such. The credit will still be there when you go to re-activate.

That said, my account is grandfathered to have an extra simultaneous stream. I would have to pay more for that if I let my subscription lapse. Nice little perk, I guess.
I think this might have been during their physical media days (pre-streaming). I honestly never bothered after the complaints because it just seemed silly.

Also, the need to acquire a credit card for a free trial for their streaming also seemed questionable. Maybe all this changed, but I just do not trust them.

The current lowest account tier on Netflix right now (7.99/month) does not allow multiple streams and does not have HD. The next tier up has HD and 2 simultaneous streams. It's 9.99, but if you're grandfathered you have been getting it for 7.99. This is the last month for that however, as everyone now has to choose from the new tiers.

Ain't that the truth. When I finally bought a house and received a real utility bill I saw two $10 charges. I asked and they said "That's because you have two meters" (one house, one garage). So they are charging me $240/yr to know how much to charge me...
