What is this charge on my checking account?

So I just got a checking account a couple of weeks ago and I see there is a fee that is for $23 with a description of "CHECK CHG CLARKE AMERICAN ZAGO CHECK CHARGE." Anyone know what it is?

Clarke is a check printer, did you order new checks recently?

Check charge sounds like a charge to print your box of checks. $23 sounds awfully high for that though. Many banks give you the first box for free, and even if you do pay for it, $10 is more typical.

yep, thats what its for. I got charged the same thing with my bank when I started with them

probably could just call the bank and ask them. But most places give you at least 1 box of checks so you got pwned by the bank. :)

Ah yes, it would be the checks. The only thing they gave me that was free was 6 checks and nice cooler on wheels.
