What is this bug? *PIC*

StageLeft

No Lifer
Took the pic yesterday. It has a baby(?) on it. It's a huge buggar. BUG

In fact, it's the biggest bug I've ever seen in my life, not including those in cages.

This Australian species of walking stick makes a wonderful pet
Haha yeah right!

Anyway I didn't kill it - I feel bad killing bugs, unless they're cockroaches or ants. Mrsskoorb did prod it with astick and I filmed, but I can't get it on my computer yet. Damn it was big!

If it's a big bug, odds are it eats smaller bugs.

That is a  in my book.

OMG it was incredibly huge and ugly! I gently touched it with a stick to see if it would move a little for us or do something fun but it was so heavy, my little stick BROKE! *shudder*

I find it amusing that you were the one poking and prodding at it. 😉

Hmm, cool.. so I was right? 🙂

Hmmmm...

I wonder if the "baby" you speak of is actually a male.

Probably was a male. They were just trying to make some sweet walking stick love, and here come the Skoorbs poking them in the a$$ with a stick. They'll get their revenge tonight while you two are making sweet Skoorb love, hahahaha!

I just don't care for bugs. I had no intention of going that near to it. I took the picture with my camera outstretched, but mrsskoorb put the ruler up against it. I am like a little girl around large insects. I don't likes them! I am always the one to kill the reall big bugs though, like when cockroaches have been in our old apartment.

/eeeeewwwwwwww

well it seems to be a two-striped walking stick, so watch out it can emit a spray that can cause temporary blindness... So I guess you can have MrsSkoorb move it to a neighbors yard you don't like. I still say smush it tho.
