Hello, I've been reading some posts here and everybody is now putting stuff like 1T and stuff after they ram latencies or right after the 3rd numeric character in the timing list of their ram. I was just wondering what this meant or where I can set it in my mobo? I mean I got got 2 stick of 512mb corsair VS 3200, crruently at 235 mghz (~pc3800) with 2.5-3-3-6 timings. I just want to know where this 1T stuff fits in.

Lower = better, but not always possible when running high speeds or when filling all 4 slots on Athlon 64 systems.

The difference is relatively small. On AMD machines it is miniscule. 2T is fine especially when you reach insanely high speeds :D

With A64, clock speed is everything. So if 1T is the only thing keeping you from cranking it up, by all means switch to 2T.

I gotcha, but for 1, I got an intel rig, and 2, I can't find the sdram command rate anywhere in my bios so I geuss I can't even determine or set this value, so it really don't matter to me.

1T or 2T is the command rate.

Doesn't seem to me that many BIOS list it as plainly as that. Usually some other term. And I wouldn't know on an Intel system. Don't use "em much now.

Try Everest Home edition. It'll likely tell you. It's free for d/l, get it HERE
