What is there to do in Orlando?

I'm going to be in Orlando for a week for a convention. I'll be working from 7am-6pm each day. But at night I will have nothing to do. I'll essentially be by myself. I just broke up with my girlfriend and it is still hurting and being alone is not much fun for me right now.

Anyone have any ideas on what to do in Orlando, or something that would just occupy my mind and time at night?

Thanks

Drive to tampa and we'll drown your sorrows! I'm pretty sure there's stuff to do in downtown orlando, depends on what you enjoy...

I think the Church St and Orange Ave area is where a lot of bars/clubs are. Haven't been to Orlando in a few years so I'm not 100% up on the nightlife.

Not good to drive that far to be partying. ~75 minutes

What are these places like? I've never been to orlando. Is it a real trendy, there to be seen, type atmosphere, or a more laid back, chill/cool people type thing?

Any good sports bars?

I dont know, i'm kind of at a loss. Usually our conventions are in Vegas, and being in L.A. my friends are usually stoked to have a place to crash, or my girlfriend would come out, that sort of thing, but i feel like really out of my element on this trip.

I think it has both. Beef O'Brady's tend to be a laid back sports bar.

City Walk seemed kinda happening, but it tended to be more of a family oriented type place. There were some clubs in there though, so who knows.

I was toting around a pregnant woman last time I was there, so I didn't get to see too much ;)

Like most cities in FL, you have to drive everywhere. Most sports bars will will probably be crowed due to the gaytors and luckeyes playing tonight.

Oh, i didn't say when i was coming, lol. I arrive wednesday evening and am staying through monday. I will be working each day.

I didn't realize that you'd need to drive. I've only been to South Beach before and we just walked around everywhere. That is a bit of a bummer.

Maybe i need to focus more on sh!t to do in the hotel room.
