Lots. If you can't figure out something to do in Chicago, you're probably dead.

Go up to the John Hancock Center observatory.

Go to Navy Pier.

Walk along the lakefront.

Eat. Lots of good eatin' in Chicago.

Ride the trains.

I'm falling in love with Chicago. I might move there someday.

Cubs game! You'll see at least 200 fights in the stands. Cubs fans and beer make a violent pairing.

Field Museum, Art Museum, Shedd Aquarium

Believe it or not but Chicago also has the most expensive shopping strip in America

Go to Cabrini Green and get mugged three times before you hit the ground dead.

Go to the University of Chicago and meet a Nobel Prize winning physicist and a crack whore on the same block.

You might also get three seasons of weather in a day too. Snow in the morning, rain all day, 150 degrees all night.

Chicago is the greatest city ever!

I just got back from Chicago, it is so so so so cool :)The Museum of Science and Industry is pretty cool. Spend a LOT of time downtown, it is one of the coolest things I've seen :D

BTW, I want to move to Chicago some day too

The John Hancock building looks so amazing. The view from the top rivals that of the Empire State Building. Make sure you pick up a big bag of that carmel popcorn from Garret's. You can smell it from at least a few blocks away. If you're into comedy, check out Second City.

Do Hancock, The Dolphins, Field Museum, Check the Fountain

If you want some spiccccy food go to Devon Ave(Indo/Pak/Afghan Restuarants).

Penang is good too, though if you have been to the NJ or Boston one, it may not be a big deal. Try Roti-Chana there. One of my favs.

Say hi to my ex coworkers at PWC for me

My wife and I visited Chicago 2 weeks ago for 3 days without the kids! We really liked Chicago, we stayed on Michigan Ave (Michigan Ave is fun to stroll). First day we started at Buckingham Fountain (huge fountain that has a colored light show synchronized with music at night) then walked to Navy Pier along the lake front, that was nice. Navy Pier was ok imho (just another tourist trap, reminded my of Baltimore's Inner Harbor). Chicago has free trolleys running in the summer to most of the tourist sites, use them as parking is very expensive (like any other large city).

Second day we visited Chicago Board of Trade and the Stock Exchange (very cool to see and it's free!) we then took the trolley to Field Museum (free on Wednesdays, most museums have a free day, I think the Art Museum was free on Tuesdays) Field Museum was was too crowded with kids summer camp field trips that day (we were trying to get away from kids..LOL)

Third day we walked to Sears Tower, then took the water taxi to Navy Pier then by trolley to the John Hancock Building. Two cheap ways to see the John Hancock Building is by getting a Museum Guide from your hotel, it has a buy one get one free coupon in it for the observation deck ($9 admission) or visit the restuarant one floor above and have brunch for $13.95 and avoid the admission cost.) We then drove to Wrigley Field, parking is tough during a game.

Plenty of good restuarants in downtown Chicago, and lots of shopping along Michigan Ave...Have fun!
