Yea, there was a thread on it the other day. What was that bar called again, the Ramrod?

You can vote twice or more, get involved with the Mob, and various other fun activities.

Take a tour of Navy Pier, see the fountain at night, and eat a REAL pizza.
Stay away from Cubs land, bunch of rich yuppies.

Cheers,
Aquaman

Anything Local, dont go for any big name resturants like Connies or that crap. I cant really name any pizza places because I havent been downtown in about a year or so, but just check out some local place. As for pubs...no clue, only 18.

How is the transit system in Chicago? Or do you think getting around in a car is better?

Cheers,

the subway system works very well in chciago. pretty cheap too, and MUCH better than trying to get around through traffic in a car when parking also costs like 10 bux an hour.

if you are trying to find good pizza in the area the places to go to are Gino's East, the Original Uno's (by the mag mile), and Lou Manatis are the big ones. Also, until tommorow is the "taste of chicago" at grant park. green line to adam's and wabash and walk 2 blocks east and 1 block south. can't miss it.

other than that, there is always the street racing down by stoney island and at the stockyards amongst other places. if you aren't all about just eating, its a nice time to hit up the beaches by the lake.

Best hot dog is Super Dog! at Devon and Milwaukee Aves on the NW side.

Go to a Cub game, it's a lot of fun. And Wrigley field is beautiful. But take public transportation, it'll drop you right there.

Lou Malnati's is good, but I like the thin greasy pizza sometimes too, Father and Son is always good.

The lakefront is beautiful, take a drive on LSD. Go to the Field Museum and see Sue, our new dinosaur.

Always lots of clubs to hear whatever your into. Pick up a Chicago Reader, free newspaper that is the guide to cool stuff around here. Or go here http://www.chireader.com/

Have a great time :)

Three words...Blue Man Group! They are totally awesome. The performance was the coolest thing I have ever seen. You need to get tickets in advance, problaby now. The theater is on Briar St. The show is about 2 hours long and definitly worth every cent.

Regards

IMO, Gino's East pizza sucks ass. It's pretty big, but it is so freaking soggy that its not even funny. Id much rather try some Giordano's or Lou Malnatis.

Navy Pier is pretty good this time of year. Take a boat ride out on Lake Michigan and view the Chicago skyline from the lake.

Go out and party :) There is a crap load of bars, clubs, and various other things to do... and have some pizza of corse LOL Giordanos is my favorite, but Lou Malnati's is pretty darn good too, as is Ginos East. This aint your pizza hut pizza here :) BTW kumachu said the subway system... well we dont have much of one of thoose, we have the CTA trains, aka the elevated trains. Just dont be riding em at 3AM, lots of freaks on em around then hehe. But deffinetely check out navy pier, pretty much if you walk around youll find stuff to do :)

You can find good food pretty much anywhere, you walk around youll find lots of small places to pick up a good burger hotdog or whatever you want. My fav place to stop at just to pick up a beef sandwhich, hotdog, or hamburger is portillos... its a fast food place, but its the furthest from fast food youll really find, great food.

Stop by the House of Blues or the Metro to hear some live music... I prefer the Metro myself. If you enjoy some clubs there are some like Crobar also.. tho I dont much go to thoose myself.

I couldnt name half the places to go... but someone else posted a link to chicago.citysearch.com and that lists a shitload of places.

How old are you?

The origianl Gino's East for a deep dish...

Definately go to Wrigley... it's a world famous beautiful stadium.... hell if you have time go to Comiskey too... it's a hell of a stadium itself.

If you're 21 catch a show at The empty bottle

If you're not 21 go to The Fireside Bowl... which I think is to punk to have a website...

To find show listings pick up a Chicago Reader or look it up online.

The Clark and Belmont area of boystown is worth a look...
So is Wicker Park....

~~edit....
oooo here's a blast from the past... REVEREND HORTON HEAT Double Door, 8/13 (21 and over)
