what is the worst food you have ever eaten?

A suspiciously quickly arriving plate of quesadillas from a Chile's in Germany. I should have went with my judgement and sent it back for fresh ones, paid for that one for a weekend.

Non food poisoning? Probably an omelette from an MRE. Those things were a horror show.

Holy Shit! I was just trying to think of something, and that's it! I have no idea how they made it through testing. If that's all I had to eat, I think I'd be considering bugs and worms as an alternative.

I'm pretty sure they exist to encourage you to hone your SERE skills and just find squirrels or fish or enemy combatants to eat instead.

ah yeah i didn't think about food poisoning.

i've only been food poisoned really bad once, and it was an amazingly good hamburger.

just ended up being amazingly bad 8 hours later when i threw it up in a chicago subway station after an afternoon of stomach-destroying torture and cold sweats.

Goat cheese, just awful...
Really?

Most people I know love it. I think it's great, just too pricey to have often.

It's a mild flavor for a cheese.

Edit: Worse food I've eaten? Octopus sushi; no flavor and awful texture. If you hadn't specified "eaten" I'd say tripe. The smell of it made gag pretty violently. I had to leave the room; never got to eat any of it.

Stinky Tofu - I'm not Asian. Straight up smelled like a dirty sock and tasted about the same. I thoroughly enjoyed the fried pork intestines with pickled veggies.

Omelette with Ham MRE - maybe if it was heated it would have been better. One bite, never ate another one while I served. I'd rather go hungry.

I can't think off the top of my head but one thing that comes to mind is french onion soup. I don't like onions, like at all, can't stand the taste and texture. To top it off, bread in a liquid is just gross, it gets all soggy. Was at a wedding and they served that as one of the courses. Had to force myself to eat at least a good part of it to not be disrespectful.

Another horrible thing I tried is blue cheese. Nasty stuff, don't know how people like that. I did not even realize blue cheese is basically rotten cheese when I tried it, so that knowledge did not play an influence in whether or not I'd like it, I just hated the taste.

I'm a simple man, give me my burger (with normal cheese) and fries and stop trying to be fancy. 😛 Oddly enough there are things lot of people hate that I don't mind, like broccoli and olives.

another thing that's pretty bad: green bean casserole with white sauce and fried onions on top

it's just such a disgusting combo, but so many old ladies i know make that every time they have to cook

Durian. I couldn't get that taste out of my mouth by drinking anything or smoking cigarettes either. It was a disaster. For a brief moment it tasted ok and then it tasted like death. Death that lingered.

is it like sweet rotting meat? that's what i've heard. i have been tempted to try it.

The combination of sugar with vinegar just gets to me. For whatever reason that whole package just makes me cringe. Same with bread and butter pickles now that I think about it.
The last time I had pasta salad it didn't tasted all that sweet to me... Just get the ones without sugar in them, or make your own.
