jack fruit....

i can't bring myself into eating a durian after hearing all the horror stories.
but jack fruit is yummy... it tastes like cream custard, with the texture of sticky onion.

Fruit wise, Kiwano Melon. Very good though.

Had some strange things in Australia. Kookaburra, Kangaroo, Saltwater Croc...All were extremely good and I would eat them again in a moment.

I've become more and more enamored with strange foods as I get older. I can't wait til I go to Tahiti this summer just to see what funky foods I can eat there.

As a kid I ate what I thought was left over fish sticks cold out of the fridge one day only to find out later that it was rattle snake a neighbor had killed and fried up.

Bird seed. Not the sunflower ones since that's nothing, but the actual little round ones. It tasted really strong. The sunflower ones were just a little stale but probably had to do with the fact the bag had been in the shed for years.

Another weird thing, which was really gross, was this weird soup they were serving at a wedding. They put a garlic bread right in it so it got all soggy and disgusting. The soup itself tasted like cat pee, but being a wedding you can't really say anything and have to try and finish it, which I was unable to. I can't even describe the taste, but based on the small of cat pee, think it tasted like that.

I like chicken hearts and gizzards. I also eat the turkey necks.

I don't think those are really that weird since they sell them at the supermarket. Dried squid is yummy.. I've had deer jerky before.
