What is the Washington Mutual routing number for California?

Anyone know Washington Mutual's routing number for CA or have it handy? I swear I have searched their damn web site up and down and have done about 5 google searches to no avail. Wells Fargo's web site had it right in the FAQ! I'm getting pissed!

A banks routing number is the number that designates what needs to go where with the Federal Reserve check clearing house etc. Its like a big zip code for your bank. It is on all of your checks at the bottom, but I don't have a checkbook unfortunately.

I don't feel like sitting on hold or talking to some douche. I think I found the number already though. *crosses fingers*. Oh if anyone is wondering this is so I can get verified on Pay Pal.

LOL you might have found their ABA rather than routing code (found near the MICR encoding on checks).

If I were at work (work at a bank) I could look it up and tell you but I'm at home in my boxers, sorry.

Stop being such a lazy ass, call and ask them. There are also different routing numbers for different regions (states). WAMU has several routing numbers including CA/WA.

I just called WAMU customer service they answered within 47 seconds and said they would gladly provide a customer with their correct routing number for their region.

I also just discovered that I have access to http://www.tgbr.com/ from home, w00t

You just called Wamu and you didn't get the routing # for California? WTF. lol

I could have done that but nothing pisses me off more than lazy dumb fscks who can't pick up the fscking phone and fscking call and ask a fscking question from a live human being.

This includes those idiots who ask questions like, "What time does USPS open tomorrow"?

What's next? "What's the APR of my Bank One credit card and what's my payment history look like"?

[/rant]

Nothing personal against you of course, I just had to let that out 🙂

Hehe, rant duly noted. I'm just pissed that they didn't put this information on their damn web site.

and you have every right to be pissed off. It should be on their web site. They could probably save 100 unnecessary calls a week by putting that info on their web site.

Although WF sucks they do have one of the best banking web sites in the world.

Wamu is great about answering the phone. Hardly ever do I hear holding music... get through right away after choosing the correct options.
