Question What is the voltage/clock spread for Skylake 6600K?

For those of you who are familiar with the Skylake process and 6600K, I want to purchase one that can do 46x core clock on air (Hyper 212 Evo to be specific).

For buying I need to know the voltage/clock spread. What voltages are golden, exceptional, above average, average, and below average?

For example, at 4.6Ghz

1.2V or less: Golden

1.2V-1.24V: Exceptional

1.24V-1.26V: Above Average

1.26V-1.32V: Average

1.32V-1.36V: Below Average

1.36V and over: Poor

I don't really know what the spread is so I could be way off the mark.

Are you trying not to spend any money? Do you already have a 212? The 212 has only 4 heatpipes. Usually top of the line Intel CPU's do best on 6-heatpipe heatsinks. The Reeven Ouranos is a 14cm 6-heatpipe heatsink available at Newegg for $45. I'm sure you can find that or something similar.

Also, if you've already got the board . . . does it support Kabylake? You might be better off with one of those. 6600ks are cheaper on eBay though.

sell the board and buy ryzen 3600

I have a skylake 6600K that does 4,4GHz at 1,175V, that is a golden of golden samples

but with 6 series you wont hit such frequencies as you wish without problems and buying golden sample means price so at the end you can buy that ryzen

ryzen 3k series is not so sensitive to memory like previous ryzen 2k and 1k

so unless you have specific reason to buy 6600k, dont buy it

it is not worth it today

and if you have 7600k there is zero reason to buy anything
just sell the crap and buy ryzen 3600...
