What is the very best Disk Imaging, Backup and Restore

I'm seeking input for the best, most complete file and system disk imaging backup and restore software. Any recommendations? I realize it used to be Norton Ghost back in the day, but my understanding is that has changed.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

I would have to give the nod to Acronis True Image. The program has proven quite reliable in my usage. FWIW.. Check out their site.

Hope it works for you as good as it has for me!🙂

Thanks for your input! Much appreciated. I remember when Norton Ghost seemed to be all the rage for reliable imaging software.

Also, someone who's opinion I trust on AT suggested Bootit NG (Next Generation) in a PM to me a few days ago. Just thought I'd see what other imaging software products out there people thought highly of.

Wasn't there hubbub about people complaing about Acronis Images failing when they most needed it? AFAIK, the back ups were said to be... finicky?

still using Ghost 2003 here, it will support Vista (i read that somewhere... i think) and so I see no reason to change until the next version of Windows.

My apologies. I don't visit this forum very often. Prior to my OP, I performed a search for all relative topics about disk imaging software within the last 90 days and couldn't find anything relevant to my question.

At any rate, thank you to all who have responded. It's been very helpful and it appears Acronis True Image.
