The cockroach. Unchanged for the past several hundred of million of years. A close second is the shark. Another animal that has remained unchanged over the ages.

platypus, they got the crazy venom. i've heard thats theres nothing more painful that can happen to you

Only males have it and it's in a kind of awkward spot. (They're spurs on their rear legs)

I'd go with Hippos. They co-exist with Crocs and are fearless. In fact they fvck with crocs all the time in water holes, pushing them around. The crocs don't ever attack hippos.

hippos are cool, but i say sea otters are best because sea otters spin around in the water all day. also they float on their back and then put a shelled creature on their stomach and smash it open with a rock. and they could easily beat down a fat beaver if push came to shove.

Candiru
Candirú is a tiny Amazonian parasitic catfish reported to swim into urethral and other body openings of unprotected bathers. It is also known as canero, carnero, and urethra fish, and is a member of the genus Vandellia. When it swims into the urethra, it can be difficult to pull out by its tail because the umbrella-like spines near its head may extend and prevent its removal. Forced extraction may cause lacerations of the urethral mucus membranes, which has caused death by exsanguination. Remedies have ranged from penile amputation and suprapubic cystostomy to application of a native herb that softens the spines of the candirú, so it can be removed relatively atraumatically. A tight bathing suit can prevent entry of the fish into the human urethra.
Silly parasites

dicks are for chicks 😛

My vote goes to Paralithodes camtschaticus (aka Alaskan Red King Crab) because it is the tastiest animal IMO.
The most important feature for an animal is how tasty it is.

Great White Shark...ultimate killer, did not have to evolve.

agreed.. defiantly the ultimate killing machine

Except when it stops moving, then it suffocates and dies. Yeah, ultimate killer  😛 There's giant mutant squid that EAT sharks.

edit: I'll only include those with a reason as to WHY they are the best. -- you can't just throw out animals without giving a good reason
