what is the technical name for pressing a mouse button

I think click is universal. I don't know that there is any more technical term.

There has to be a more technical term...doesn't there?

If not, we need to make one up.

The technical name is; Who gives a rat's ass? 😉

These are the things that weigh on my mind....

God, I can't wait to start working again.

The serenity prayer will get you out of this.

This is much larger than what the serenity prayer can deliver.

Which came first, the mouse of the click?

Is it still clicking if you use a touchpad?

What about quiet mice that don't make a noise?

Westerly hemispheric mechanical actuator? Substitute easterly or polar(remove hemispheric) for the appropriate buttons :^P

For you IT guys. When talking to users during tech support, start saying "clit" instead of click. Like, "now clit on the Next button."

kind of like that German guy that wanted to create a German word for everything, rather than use the internationally-accepted loan terms, usually English. Computer for example.

Following his strategy, we should call it: "to selection of object with peripheral point and drag device."
