From one hero of the Tea Party:
(Tom Tancredo) The former congressman from Colorado and 2008 Republican presidential candidate blasted Obama, saying "people who could not even spell the word 'vote', or say it in English, put a committed socialist ideologue in the White House. His name is Barack Hussein Obama."

I'm glad the Conservatives on this forum reassured us there is no racism in the Tea Party; otherwise, I might have misinterpreted the bolded phrase.

Hey, maybe you didn't get the memo, but the Alinsky playbook is in use by both sides now. Calling people racists to elicit a response is just so last year.

This quote from one of the commentors on the above CNN like says it all.

The fact is that TeaPartiers want the world to be simple again. It is undeniable that they are simple people. They cannot absorb complex topics and none of the Republicans who are happily using them are about to step forward and point out the complexities of running this country (and competing in this world). I wish the media would ask these people 1.) what are taxes for, 2.) what in the constitution has been ignored by the a.) the current and b.) the past administrations, and 3.) what, exactly, should be the government's role in governance? My bet is that less than 1% would be able to respond AT ALL.

I'm sure most of those here that are for the Tea Party don't know that Dick Armey (neocon Bush-boy) is now the driving force of the movement. It's been hijacked by neocons and most don't even know it.

So? Conservatives and Tea Party share a whole ton in common. The current driving shift to conservatism by the country is shared by both and enjoyed by both.

Guess you don't get it. Once the repubs use the tea party to get what they want (back in power), they will be tossed aside like the religious right was with GWB. Course you don't care cause a win is a win. The Tea Party was more closely tied with Libertarians, now it's neocons.

I could respond to the rest of your post, but I'll respond to your 'racism' comment.

The thing that's racist about your post is that it mocks there being any such thing as racism.

You say nothing directly racist, but you imply that there is no such thing as racism. You imply all complaints of racism are a joke and wrong.

And that's supporting racism.

You also have the logic backwards, by the way.

It's not that Beck and Palin support the special olympics so that anyone who supports the special olympics also supports Beck and Palin.

It's that they specifically support Beck and Palin, which shows big problems they have.

Adolf Hitler is said to have liked animals. That doesn't mean people who like animals liked Hitler. On the other hand, people who support Hitler do have issues.

There you go again, it is not racist to point out absolutely false claims of racism, duh. By your head-in-the-ass logic, any time someone is called a racist and reacts as I do, then they must be a racist. Then you go on and insinuate that all the Tea Party people are express supporters of Beck and Palin, again head-in-ass. And your last paragraph shows my point exactly, you are trying to tie two very different thing together in a stretch that defies logic. Add the fact that you reference Hitler, and you think you have a winning argument when you actually are proving MY point.

By the way, be a man and speek to the meat of what I posted, the three points that respond to the actual threat "Head-In_Ass" boy!

Conservatives and libertarians also share a lot of common ground. If the end result is getting more conservatives or libertarians into office the outcome is still wonderful.

Who said that no racism existed in the Tea Party? It exists in every party to some degree genius. It is just not what the majority of Tea Party people believe.

Unfortunately, neocons are anything but conservative. Scott Brown is not a conservative, he's a RINO! Name a neocon that shrunk government.

True. He did not do that. You can't read very well.

By your head-in-the-ass logic

Ignore approaches, and the irony is noted.

, any time someone is called a racist and reacts as I do, then they must be a racist.

Wrong. You can't read very well.

If you are wrongly called a racist, deny it screaming from the rooftops. You should. That's not racist.

No one called him a racist - rightly or wrongly.

He mocked the idea that is any racism, sarcastically implying all claims of racism are false. That's racist.

Then you go on and insinuate that all the Tea Party people are express supporters of Beck and Palin, again head-in-ass.

I responded to the post, after it was said they have complete support, defending their support of Palin and Beck. I didn't make any new claims what the percent is, I commented on the percent who do.

And your last paragraph shows my point exactly, you are trying to tie two very different thing together in a stretch that defies logic. Add the fact that you reference Hitler, and you think you have a winning argument when you actually are proving MY point.

You are very confused. There's not even a coherent point to respond to.

By the way, be a man and speek to the meat of what I posted, the three points that respond to the actual threat "Head-In_Ass" boy!

I was just about to ask you what points, when the ignore got here later in your sentence, and you entered idiot land, boy.

The usual suspects preaching their hate. Good hate of course because progressive hate is founded in truth and intellectualism don't you know.

Putting Tea Party in a thread title is akin to putting Palin in a thread title here. Both churn the bowels of the far left in ways unimaginable to conservatives.

Why just yesterday at the National Prayer Breakfast Obama attended, where he thanked God, where he talked of the power of prayer and the effect it's had on his life and how it guides him daily, I couldn't help but think of how alike he and Sarah Palin truly are. Very inspiring. Why the left would fear a movement like the Tea Party movement, one endorsed by Sarah Palin when Obama and Palin have so much common ground is puzzling.

no one fears the Tea Party movement. especially now that Palin is it's leader.

HA!

By the way you're talking, I can tell you've never been to a rally and actually spoke with anyone there to see their views. You've taken the bait that the major media outlets have given you and you've ran with it. Classic. Just like they want the sheep to do.
I've been to the rally's

Seen a TON of white ignorant people...all pissed off because their President is black.

Tons of Barack is a secret muslim signs.

Barack is an illegal..Barack is the Devil...Barack is going to destroy the US...

bla bla bla.

Don't defend the teabaggers..there was nothing there ever worth defending. Just a bunch of pissed off old white people who wanted to see McCain (Old white person) be President.

These weren't the "salt of the earth" people..pfffft

My guess is that Spidey is close to the truth. It's the "I've got mine, fuck you!" and "Don't get sick and if you do get sick die quickly," crowd.

So what are the TEA Party's positions on the following issues:

  • Foreign Outsourcing
  • H-1B, L-1, and other work visas.
  • Legal Immigration
  • Illegal immigration
  • Health Care
  • Population Growth
  • Abortion
  • Birth Control
  • Banking and Securities Regulations
  • Environmental Issues
  • Wealth Inequality
Have they announced definitive positions on these issues? Merely opposing deficit spending doesn't make for much of a platform.
Or better yet merely opposing deficit spending not originating from a REPUBLICAN administration (Medicare Part D anyone?) doesn't make for much of a platform.

Medicare Part D sattled the US with a TON of debt and not one teabagger was around back then to march or rally or bitch at townhalls etc etc

Keep talking. It's only igniting We The People to donate and win elections.

Please keep insulting The People. It's only motivating them more. My office full of black, white, middle class folks are getting so involved in politics. People that never ever talked politics, never got involved, never cared.

We've pledged 500 bucks each in contributions to candidates. Folks that never ever cared about politics, they're pissed off. And this is just folks in my office, about 15 of us which is 7500 bucks. This is an office of about 20 people who pledged to take this country back.

Please keep mocking, only makes us stronger.

And one other thing...about this White Anger/Tea Part movement.

Its not necessarily a bad thing! Hell, just think of all the Black Anger we had to endure over the generations. The Panthers, Malcom X...etc etc etc

I think its just a natural way that ignorance manifests itself.

But the part that just rubs me the wrong way is people like Spidey claiming that it is a revolution of the "American Dream" of sorts.. Like they are reclaiming the freaking Constitution or something.

get real you dope...its just anger...anger that needs to bleed out of society just like generations and years past.

so..that said, enjoy your anger Spidey et al. Enjoy your white anger. :)
