What is the Shadow Government?

isn't the shadow government the one next in line as far as seats in the British House of Commons? Like the Conservative Party is currently the shadow govt...
 
The shadow government in the fictional sense does not exist.

It does exist in reality in the form of large companies giving campaign donations to political figures in exchange for "favors" later on down the line. Company needs that big government contract... how much did they donate to the person currently in office? New law needs to go through... give a few senators a donation (bribe) for their re-election campaign. Nothing's documented of course, but anyone who's watching politics can see it happening.

I am talking about the Shadow Government set up by our government. I find it amazing that many Americans don't know what it is.
 
If you mean people designated to take run a country's goverment in case something happens to the real government, then I would hope it exists.
 
Oh, Dick Cheney and the bunker then. It was in the news quite a bit for awhile after 9/11. Of course it's just a list of un-elected people who become our new overlords after they eliminate our elected leaders, until then they're powerless and we get to keep most of our civil rights.

The problem with your poll is that you should have asked something like "Did you know there actually is a documented shadow government" instead of keeping it vague enough to include the Illuminati, Trilateral Corp, Roswell Greys, etc.
