Another vote for The Exorcist, Candyman and Children of the Corn. Those movies really scared me when I first saw them. Exorcist continues to haunt me. I'd like to add Psycho to the list and the Blair Witch Project. That was a movie that goes home with you. If you take it for the entire movie and insert yourself into their world, it's a really frightning movie.

I couldn't tell you because I am the biggest baby on the face of the earth. I hate scary movies. They give me nightmares for days.

hmm.. saw the shining today.. wasnt that scary.. but it freaked the girl i was with and then.. we had some fun 😉

Pumpkinhead (uncut) was pretty good.
Event Horizon (uncut) was too.

It takes ALOT to scare me. I think the first time I saw Alien (uncut), Hellraiser (uncut) & Hellbound - Hellraiser II (uncut) came the closest to scaring the bejesus out of me:Q. The uncut version of Event Horizon on the big screen would be pretty good.....-kd5-

Exorcist
The whole girl thing flipped me out..
Oh and House on the haunted hill wasnt scary at all.. it was just digusting..

b/c i worked at a movie theater last year i have a hard time getting "into" movies ...mentally to the point where im not concious of things around me

and my dad always said..."its just fake its a movie" so i really haven't had any movies scare me.......

stupid theater has ruined movies for me =0

I would have to say the Remastered version of Exorcist and Event Horizon(only if you see it in the theaters with full surround sound). There 2 movies are quite scary. :Q

scariest movie?....possibly Toy Story. Next thing you know, all my toys are plotting against me. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I shall never sleep again. AHHHHHHH

lol

i love the movie Seven though 😀

I would have to say that "Aliens" was pretty scary, especially went it just came out. I'm talking about the sequel to "Alien."

I will have to say Event Horizon too... I wanted to leave the threater half way through the movie...

try this one:

8 years old, everyone is gone, it's dark, raining, and i'm watching The Shining?!?!?!? I'll tell you that creepy dead bathtub lady and the little mutilated twin girls GOT TO ME. i mean for months i was afraid of the bathtub! (i was a smelly boy)

Heck I seen Exorcist when I was ten and nothing ever disturbed me worse.

But I seen the first Freddy movie (Nightmare on Elm Street) and as an adult that one has been the only movie to cause me Nightmares. Now I laugh at all of them, but not that first one.

Here's my list:

Evil Dead
Nightmare on Elm Street (III or IV not too sure. The one with the song.)
Friday the 13th (I)
Poltergeist (mirrored elevators are scary man)
The Exorcist
Alien (In space no one can hear you scream)
Candyman
and finally a B-movie about piranas. Forgot the title but this movie made jaws look like a dolphin movie.

ya Even Horizon is very scary!!!
the Hellraiser movies are kinda

WIlly Wonkda when i was a kid was scary couldnt eat candy for weeks
hahahahahaha

I am such a chicken when it comes to scary movies.
ANYTHING will scare the pants right off me(how convenient for my hubby, no wonder he keeps renting them!)

I saw "What lies beneath" and that had me up all night. No lie.
I'm just really susceptible to nightmares, and have a really crazy imagination.
I was scared to death with lame-o's such as:

Blair Witch Project
House on haunted hill
The haunting
scream
Alien, Aliens and everything in between
Killer clowns from outer space
The Warlock(cheesiest movie ever but it bothered me)
Sleepy Hollow
Exhorcist

I think exhorcist traumatized me the most.
The only scary movies I wasn't bothered by and actually made me laugh were
Hellraiser(I fell asleep)
I know what you did last summer and its sequel.

In addition to the excellent candidates already named (Exorcist, first Alien, Event Horizon) I feel the need to add Silence of the Lambs.
Disturbing is so much easier than frightening, so I started a "Most disturbing movie" thread here.

Check it.
