Hi,

I recently purchased a new video card ATI Radeon 8500LE and it came with an s-cable. What is this cable for? What do you think about this video card in performance terms? I am only going to be using this video card mostly for work and word processing, internet browsing and very little gaming.

thanks for the replies!!

The S-cable is a S-VHS(S-Video) cable, to connect the PC to ur TV. If ur TV doesn't have a S-VHS connector you will need a S-VHS to RCA adapter.
This card has a very nice performance, you won't have any problems using it for these tasks that you mentioned. A very nice pick!

The 8500LE is a great card. It's overkill in performance for what you are using. In fact, tell you what. You send me the 8500LE and I'll send you my Radeon64 VIVO. The Radeon 64 would still be fine for what you're doing and the 8500 will be good for me playing games. :D

No offense was taken, since you're fairly new to the forum I just wanted to make sure you new that he wasn't
trying to scam you out of your video card. The vast majority people on this forum are good people to do
business with (for sale forum) and try to share their experience to help other people out with their computer
problems and questions.

That's true until you wander into Off Topic. I think people take the "Pub" metaphor a little too far there to the point of bar-room brawls.
