If I had to guess, im sure they are working on an NV5 for 7900 series cards. Im sure. Probably the reason svc has sales on the NV5 rev.3 for $19.99 lately.

See the response below I finally received after numerous inquiries. They are in fact NOT going to make an NV Silencer for the 7900 series. Perhaps with enough e-mails to the folks at Arctic Cooling from people like us, we can change their minds. Everyone please send an e-mail to Arctic Cooling (info@arctic-cooling.com) if you would like to demonstrate our interest and persuade them to make an NV Silencer for the 7900 cards:

Subject: AW: NV Silencer for Nvidia 7900GT

We will release the Accelero S cooler for the 7900GT. This cooler will offer higher performance completely passive.
The effect of the DHES is minor and offers also several disadvantages.

Best Regards

Subject: NV Silencer for Nvidia 7900GT

Will Arctic Cooling be releasing an NV Silencer for the 7900GT in the near future? If so,
when. If not, please let me know why. I understand that many people with 7900GTs are
modifying the NV Silencer 5 Rev.3 to fit on the 7900GT. I've noticed considerable demand for an NV Silencer designed for the 7900GT cards on various sites, especially due to its external venting. Thank you.

The bottom line is no matter how high the performance of the Accelero S1, it won't be able to cool better than an active fan-based system. And I think a lot of people choose Arctic Cooling specifically because of the DHES (Direct Heat Exhaust System). I know it would make a work of difference in my SFF setup.

Having heatpipes can dramatically improve a cooler's performance. I bet if you put a quiet 120mm fan nearby, you could get excellent cooling results.

I am well aware that having heatpipes alone can provide good cooling on it's own. What I, and a lot of SFF owners don't want is that heat radiating back into an already cramped case, which is why they're modding the NV Silencer 5 or using the NV Silencer 6 with the 7900GTs. 120mm fan isn't an option in this instance. Combine heatpipes with a good fan and external venting capabilities (i.e. the 7900GTX fan), and that goes a long way to keeping your card cool as well as helping to vent your case.

Artctic Cooling needs to get around to realizing their customers want an NV Silencer for the 7900s. In the interim, if anyone finds out who sells/makes the 7900GTX coolers, I'd snap one up in a second.
