What is the quality of this Dell Monitor?

This is the monitor I'm asking about:

1704FPT 17-inch LCD

Please let me know what kind of quality, reliability, image I can expect from this model. Any advice would be helpful.

ultra sharps are ussually great. FYI check out the hotdeals forum though. Right now you can get coupon codes to get the 19" Dell 1905 Ultra Sharp for $250ish.

The only thing I have against it is viewing angle, which is kinda bad. I'm living with it though.

Really, WOW, 250 for a 19", this has got to be the deal of the century; please show me where, I havn't been able to find it. But still, I might not be able to fit it onto my desk; I'll see.

Thanks, that's an extensive review, and everything looks awesome. I don't really care about viewing angles, since I will be looking at it 90 degree straight on 95% of the time. Dell says it should be OK upto 60 degrees, but I wouldn't put much stock into Dell's words about these technical details. ( I remember once a dell rep asked me what CPU throttling is :laugh: )

I'll check out the 19" that JBT is talking about. Other than that, I think this will be the one that I order, and I might do it tonight; unless anyone sees something objectionable to it.
