Its part of your skull, not your ear.

Its called the mastoid process, and it serves as an attachment point for the sternocleidomastoid and digastric muscles, so you can swallow, move your lower jaw, and move more like a Bobble Head.

Oops, edited for additional content.

No its not the thing on your skull its actually on the back of the ear itself towards the top. Its really tiny. I noticed it a long time ago and still dont know wtf it is. There is one on both of my ears and I have spoken with numorous people who also have them.

As 99.99% of all DNA between 'races' is exactly the same I doubt it's anything to do with your lineage.

I'm telling you man, I don't have them. A lot of Vietnamese kids in my school had them, but I don't.

The 99.99% identical DNA factoid is a marvel of unspecificity. That itty bitty .01% can produce a lot of differences, particularly hereditary, including skin tone, eye shape (Asians), broadened noses, straight hair v. afro hair, lots of body hair v. scant body hair, etc.

Some people even have several fewer or more muscles than others, accessory organs like spleens and livers, the list is quite extensive.

It's prolly an extra nipple...leftover squamous cells do that sometimes. It's not a threat unless it starts to leak, then you need to fasten some type of absorbant to the affected ear.

I am, thankfully, nubless. I will chick my wife and children as time permits and get back to you.
