Cuase you look like an idiot with your chest hair sticking up out of your collar.

I don't have any chest hair either....

How old are you?

Just kidding...

You'll be cooler in the summer with an undershirt and dress shirt combo compared to just the dress shirt.

When I lived in cold weather when I was a kid, I wore them for extra warmth. Later on when I lived in warmer weather, I never wore them.

i prefer wearing a undershirt. it keeps my dress shirts from getting nasty. not to mention undershirts are like $5 for a pack of 5 or so.

Sometimes i wear dress shirts. Depends on which ones. some are very uncomfortable and itchy.

When i have a sweater or sweatshirt on i always have a undershirt.

so your sweat and bodily juices don't get on your nice dress shirt.

Thats why I wear 'em, I get sweaty in the summer. It actually saves me on laundry too, I just change my underwear, socks and undershirt every day and I wear the rest of the stuff 1-3 more times. I only need like 3 outfits to get me through a week.

Ewww! I wear each shirt once and once only, before washing it.

it becomes a problem when you have shirts that cost $100.. if you wear an undershirt you don't have to wash them as often therefor it's less wear and tear.

Keep your sweat and antiperspirant from ruining your dress shirts. My spouse refuses to wear them, and the underarm area of his shirts (wears them to work every day) look awful.

Hmmm... I've never had that problem...

I wear them under sweaters to prevent the itchiness inherent in sweaters. Same goes for dress shirts.

Never noticed itchy-ness with dress shirts. I refuse to wear sweaters. 😉

Congratuations. You want a fvcking metal? 🙂

Laundry costs 1.25 a load, and another 1.25 to wash it. I'll stick with my system. No one has ever said I stink. No one even notices.

Uhh, it because it's the #1 rule of dressing nice.

ALWAYS wear an undershirt, it brings out the color of the shirt you're wearing on top (and just looks better).

and don't always wear a white one, either. Black, grey, even red are awesome.

Edit: don't buy cheap undershirts, either. If you aren't spending more than $10/shirt, then they are too cheap.

$10 an undershirt?! Where do you buy them, Abercrombie & Fitch? I'll stick with my 4-packs of Hanes, thanks.

Exactly. Personally, I always wear an undershirt. Must have.

I wear mine to hide the chest hair, and to absorb the sweat I produce in mass quantities. The undershirt usually just keeps the sweat from soaking my nice shirt.

I agree, hell, I wear undershirts every day. However, the $10 thing was over the line. $10 for an undershirt? WTF?

And did you not see the thread? Maybe I am wrong about who started it, but it was ludicrous.
