What is the point of signing on AIM..when you're just going to block everyone?

so what's the point of signing on anyway? And if you block someone on your list, you can't read their away messages, they're not "online" to you..and neither are you to them.

I don't use IM's to chat with the world. I use IM's to chat with my friends.
