I'd prefer if time across all lower 48 was the same.

Commerce and productivity would plummet. People in general are more productive in the morning and afternoon as it relates to the sun. The western part of the nation would not survive.

Anything to speed up the demise of California I'm all for.

No, not really. People would simply adjust their schedules to the new time. Business hours would just be staggered as makes sense for local conditions so stores might open at 8am on the esat coast and 11am on the west coast. It's just that 11am would have what was 8am sunlight. This is what makes DST so worthless: folks change their clocks and then change their schedules to compensate.

Doesnt bother me much, but I do agree, it'd be nice to have the extra hour of light year round.

get up earlier.

How many times does this need to be repeated before people realize that some people have jobs that require them to be in certain places at certain times?

About the same number of times this topic will be discussed probably.

For 21 of the past 23 years, I thought Daylight Savings Time was the action of turning clocks back, and turning clocks forward was Standard.

I like DST more than Standard a LOT. Who doesn't like it when it's still bright out at 10pm at night in the summer. Leaving the office at 5pm and it being completely dark already also sucks.
I think most people are like you. Most like the daylight savings time far better than standard time. Also, most people mistake the two and complain about the same daylight savings time that they love.

I say, keep it daylight savings time all year round. But then, I'm not a morning person.

I am 100% a fan of DST! Let's move to have it year round.

I vote for keeping DST all year too. I love when it stays light out later. During the early winter it's frigging dark out on my commute home at 5:30, which SUCKS. Then I get home and don't feel like doing anything.

5:30? Hahahaha...try it up north...it's much worse...

I think we should just skip the 2pm to 3pm hour and add an extra hour at the end of each day. That way the hours in the day would be divisible by five and more readily converted to decimals.
