What is the point? LCD upgrade rant

I agree. Send me one and I wil promptly set it to 1600x1200

Ditto, I would be glad to maximize its use!

the 18inch from dell will only do 1280x1024

i know how you feel we have like 8 or so 21 and 22 in CRTs in teh graphics lab at my college and they run 1024x768 by default, which is dumb, when you useing photoshop that is unuseable i rutinelt bump them to at least 1600x1200, the ones that do higher at a good rate go higher, it only seems to annoy 1 person, and he is teh one incharge of setting them up

all the LCDs runt at their native res whatever it may be. most we have on campus do 1280x1024

I agree.... i think that is a huge waste of money too... CRT monitors are better anyways.
