What is the physically hardest job out there?

I want to travel around and work at the physically hardest jobs possible. But I only want to do each job for about 3 months...because I'm a bonehead.

I'd have to go with Sand-hog ... the guys who do things like dig the water-supply tunnels in NYC. Not only is that one of the toughest jobs around, but one of the most dangerous too.

Sounds like premise of the show Dirty Jobs on Discovery but hardest instead of dirtiest.

Film it and make a show.

Most of the jobs listed above are now automated and aren't that tough...except roofer.

a job that you're totally physically exhausted when you come home. It does not need to be dangerous.

Most major city has Labor Ready or similar. You need very little qualification. You waltz in their office, quick sign-up, and work the same day. If you're lucky you could be assigned to a construction site where you'll get to do the heavy lifting, digging ditch, and etc: the jobs most people hate. To top it off, you get paid minimum wage. Sounds good to you?

well if the terrain is steep , it can be, but lowland logging is fairly automated as well.
